Projects

PortfolioPal

PortfolioPal is a website which is used by web developers to display their portfolio of websites they have designed. It means instead of editing the website each time they need to add or amend a project they have created, they can just login and use a form to do it for them. They can then build their contact details etc around the portfolio section. Technologies used: HTML, CSS and javascript for the front end. PHP (Laravel Framework) and MySQL for the backend.

East Ham International Football Club

This site was used to show the club's facebook stream along with their player information, matches, scores and galleries for their team and their junior team as well as contact information. Technologies used: HTML, CSS and javascript for the front end. PHP and MySQL for the backend.

CollectorPal

This website was developed so collectors can refer to a catalogue of items which they need to collect and keep track of which items they have/still need to collect and for others to be able to view their collections if they have made them public. Technologies used: HTML, CSS and javascript for the front end. PHP and MySQL for the backend.

ComputerStorePal

This website is for a store which refurbishes laptops to sell them. It allows them to add records of their laptops, the specifications of them and what stage they are at (New, In Progress, Ready For Sale, Sold, Written Off, Returned). Also, they are able to add expenses, use work sessions (to record how long is spent working on the laptop and what was done to it) and comments. Also available is functionality to have general expenses not linked to stock and ad hoc sales. Reporting is also available on this site to show how many sales have been made, how much money was spent and how much taken on and what profits have been made (overall and per laptop). Technologies used: HTML, CSS and javascript for the front end. PHP (Laravel Framework) and MySQL for the backend.

Cafe Website

This is a website designed and made for a small cafe. It includes a maintainable menu, address, contact details, opening & promotional message. There is also a gallery of photos which is also maintainable. The back end login area to maintain the website is on a different subdomain (https://dulciesbackenddev.nrpgold.com). Technologies used: HTML, CSS and javascript for the front end. PHP and MySQL for the backend.

Hair Dresser Website

This website was built for a self-employed hair dresser who wanted to be able to show previous photos to potential clients and have a price list displayed and contact details. This website has a maintainable price list, maintainable gallery and maintainable contact details. The backend login area is on a separate sub-domain (https://hairbycatbackenddev.nrpgold.com). Technologies used: HTML, CSS and javascript for the front end. PHP and MySQL for the backend.

Incident Management System (IMS)

This website was started but not completed. It was a system to manage incidents relating to systems which are being developed. It would combine defect management with enhancements and changes. Technologies used: HTML, CSS and javascript for the front end. PHP (Laravel Framework) and MySQL for the backend.

PubQuizPal

This is a website created for quizzes to take place. Users would login and be able to take part in active quizzes which are created by a logged in user with permission to create quizzes. Once the quiz is complete, the quiz maker would have the answers marked by the system which would then generate a leaderboard. Custom answers are able to be remarked should there be any incorrect markings due to spelling or phrasing of words/phrases. Technologies used: HTML, CSS and javascript for the front end. PHP and MySQL for the backend.

FoodPlacePal

I made a website for cafes and restaurants to use for their business. It was made to be able to display a menu, opening hours, contact information, photos and a map with an address to find them. These items are all configurable by the business in an admin area. There is also a configurable message to be displayed at the top of every page which can be used for a promotion or something which needs to stand out and be shown on all pages such as a message telling the user they can call to book a table for Christmas. The text on the homepage is also configurable and so are the photos displayed on the homepage. For this website, I used PHP as a backend (Laravel framework) with a MySQL database, HTML, CSS and Javascript.

The Computer Pal

This is a small computer repair business. The website has been built to show contact details, opening hours and services offered by the business. A small simple website for a small simple business. This site has been built using HTML & CSS and uses PHP for the backend using the Laravel Framework.
